(Safe)word of the Week

Word of the Week:

Dont Abuse the Safeword

Safeword

A word agreed upon by the parties involved to mean stop or slow down. The word ‘stop’ is such a boner-kill. Replacing stop and slow down with other words allows for the same result without the negative impact on the mood. For example, ‘pineapple’ may mean slow down, ease up, not so rough, or a little less intense. The word tomato would mean stop or get off/out. The use of safewords originated in the DBSM community and has spread to more vanillasexuals. The show Portlandia shows how not to use a safeword. Cacao. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ldQGPwuHhkM
